KKB-sponsored roller hockey siblings, Amelia and Jack Thomas, both acquitted themselves well at the recent Rink Hockey World Championships staged in Italy last month. Jack’s team, Senior Male, came 2nd in the Inter-Continental Championships, 10th place out of 27 overall, gaining them a silver medal. Amelia’s team, Senior Female, came 7th in the World Championships out of 19 overall. The Senior Females were in the top competition of the World’s playing against the top 7 countries.
The pair rely on support of family and friends to fund their participation in the sport of roller hockey. KKB’s sponsor sponsorship contribution helps fund their equipment, travel expenses, accommodation and training needs in the build-up to the tournament. Their father, Darrell, has worked as a machine operator for KKB Group since 2018.
“We are very proud of their achievements at this year’s World Skate Games,” said KKB Managing Director, Del Bhanot, “We will continue to support them and closely follow their progress in this burgeoning sport.”
