Congratulations to Billie Harman, KKB’s Group Operations Manager who has passed her Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship. The 22-month course involved preparing and submitting an evidence portfolio which included the following disciplines:

  • Self-Awareness and Management of Self
  • Project and Operational Management
  • Leading and Managing People
  • Building Relationships and Communication
  • Finance
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Understanding Leadership & Developing Workplace Relationships

Part of the course requirement was also functional skills in Maths and English which required Billie to re-sit a Maths GCSE exam. The course concluded with an End Point Assessment of the Evidence Portfolio and a presentation Q&A.

“I am incredibly proud to share that I’ve officially completed my Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship — and passed my End Point Assessment with Distinction,” said Billie, “This has been an intense and rewarding journey of professional growth, learning, and reflection. From developing key leadership competencies to managing real-world challenges, the apprenticeship offered a structured yet practical pathway to becoming a more effective and confident team leader.

“This story post isn’t just about the result, however,” she added, “It’s about the journey and it hasn’t been an easy one. This apprenticeship was one of the most challenging experiences of my career so far. Along the way, I had to pause my progress to navigate the deep impact of bereavement and ongoing mental health struggles. There were moments I doubted whether I’d ever reach the finish line. But with time, support, and perseverance, I picked things back up. And I’m so glad I did.

“If you’re currently facing personal challenges while trying to pursue your goals — please know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to ask for help. And it’s possible to achieve something meaningful, even if the road takes unexpected turns.

“This is just one step in my development journey, and I’m excited about what’s next.”
